Helping Unhoused Women

Esther Ruth has served unhoused women and children for over eight years. Her passion for giving hope to women who have fallen on hard times led her to create the humanitarian organization S.O.S. (Serving Our Sisters). She and her team of women strategize and organize yearly S.O.S. city outreach events which have become a staple in the city of Louisville, KY. 

 

These women receive home goods, personal hygiene items, care, love, encouragement, life strategies, and pampering. Many corporate partners/sponsors are now assisting with this endeavor. The following is a short list of partners.

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry - basic teeth cleaning and consultation.

-Norton's Hospital - health screenings (HIV-AIDS, Diabetes, etc.).

-Baptist East Hospital - blood pressure screening.

-Louisville School of Massage - chair massages.

-Kentucky Lions - eye exams.

-The Legal Aid Society -  records expungement.

-Private donors - food, toiletries, transportation, and art therapy.
